EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH THE STEM APPROACH IN LEARNING THE CONCEPT OF VOLTAIC CELL (A Study in Grade 12, Public High School 2 of Takengon)

This study aims to describe the STEM approach improve student learning outcomes in Voltaic Cell which was carried out form of action research. The research subjects were 27 students class XII MIPA SMAN 2 Takengon, Central Aceh. data obtained from competency test at end each cycle. Study result analyzed using statistical tests (data normality test, Kolmogorov Smirnov), and comparative tests. results showed that increase first cycle better when compared previous year's outcomes. second experienced an 6% 1. not normal, so comparison two cycles tested nonparametric statistics Mann-Witney test. one significantly different with a significance 0.003 (P0.05).
